Scarlette Douglas on making homes more energy efficient

New research from Hive, the UK’s leading eco-tech brand, has revealed that while Brits want more sustainable homes, their house-hunting habits tell a different story.

Three quarters (75%) of Brits rated ‘kerb appeal’ as one of the most important aspects of a house, with 23% admitting that they want their home to ‘impress people’.

According to property expert Scarlette Douglas, homebuyers are being lured in by aesthetics while overlooking crucial energy-saving and smart home features that could save them thousands in the long run.
