After undergoing an intensive testing process and a nervous wait with an unexpected delay for the results to come in, I can now confirm that I am absolutely, definitely, without a shadow of doubt 100% …. HUMAN !!! Well, that’s a relief , I’ve always I felt a bit ‘different’ but now I know I am not an alien …

Yes, it was that time again, time to grit my teeth, take on the dreaded modern technological world and do battle with various websites, encountering mind boggling security checks along the way. Up until quite recently, I have been confident that I am NOT a robot as I have become quite adept at recognising traffic lights, however the goalposts seem to have been moved lately and now I am often getting told that verification is needed to confirm I am” human” before I can proceed further …

To my surprise, having casually ticked the box as required, a message along the lines of “Hmm … there seems to be a problem. Let’s try that again” and I became one of what must surely be a tiny minority of people using that site who have failed to be verified first time ! A short but very anxious wait followed, but luckily after a few no doubt extremely significant squiggles had appeared on screen, my status as a bonafide homosapien resident of Planet Earth was confirmed and I was able to spend the next hour of my day completing my mission via 64 pages of totally bizarre multiple choice questions …
