Southend Theatres are pleased to announce the return of the Dixon Sessions at the Palace Theatre, celebrating the best in local live music. The first new session will be on Friday 25 April and features Mister Pockets & Out of the Mist Southend has a rich and thriving music scene stretching back over many years. It is to showcase the variety of talent on offer in the city, that the Dixon Sessions return with a great line up to kick off the new season on Friday 25 April with two bands for whom music is a passion.
Local Southend three piece tunesmiths Mister Pockets will be playing tracks from their recent EP releases ‘Top Shelf Crab Meat’ and ’Sweet Egg?’. The band made it to Future Hits Radio’s top 15 tracks of 2024 list. Having a collective passion for classic rock, 90’s and early 2000’s alternative music and a love of playing from the heart, they bring something special to the table, which – when added to a live environment- makes for an entertaining and exciting experience.
Out of The Mist are a Southend based acoustic duo. The pair will be performing their latest single Woman Don’t Tear Me Down, which was recently featured on BBC Introducing. Their blend of folk, jazz and blues interwoven with spiritually driven lyrics brings delight for both ears and heart.
Both bands deliver great music so, to discover new artists, rediscover old favourites in new incarnations and to have a brilliant night out, check out the Dixon Sessions. Future sessions will be held in June and July.
