Robert Llewellyn debunking myths surrounding EVs
With growing pressure to go electric – from climate goals to ULEZ zones – many drivers feel they should switch to an EV, but few truly understand what owning one really costs or how it fits into their everyday lives.
In fact, new research from E.ON Next reveals an astonishing lack of awareness around electric vehicle charging costs, with only 4% of drivers knowing they could fully charge an EV at home for as little as £2.70*… less than the average high-street latte.
Furthermore, 75% of drivers say fuel costs are hurting their wallets with more than half (52%) driving less than they used to due to the cost of petrol. Sadly half (50%) admit that have missed out on a special event or family outing because they couldn’t afford to fill up their car.
Ros spoke to actor and EV specialist Robert Llewellyn and Jean Coleman, director of commercial at E.ON Next.
