Our love affair of maps

It’s official, us Brits just can’t get enough of maps with over half (52%) saying they are an important part of our everyday lives.

Getting from A to B (55%), discovering new places we wouldn’t have otherwise known (48%) and helping us explore the outdoors safely (45%) are all top reasons for their continued prevalence.

The research by Ordnance Survey ahead of national map reading week (14th – 20th July) also discovered we’re pretty confident in our map reading skills too (84%) with a whopping 83% also feeling the same about their overall navigation skills in general.

Aston spoke to Nick Giles from Ordnance Survey and Jeb Jagne, founder of Overground.
