As the summer holidays begin and routines are thrown out the window, millions of us are finding it harder than ever to stay on track with healthy eating.
In fact, new research reveals just how much food dominates our daily thoughts, over 70% of us admit to thinking about what to eat for meals or snacks more than 10 times a day, and it’s not just what’s on the plate that weighs on people, nearly 65% report worrying daily about finding the time to actually prepare those meals.
According to the research, by Calo, 39% of us plan meals on the day, and 35% rely on quick and easy recipes.
Aston spoke to nutritionist Lily Soutter.
