Dilly Carter reveals the winter prep guide

Even with the sun making a welcome return, the cold chill in the air means only one thing…winter is most certainly on its way.

Just days away from the higher energy price cap coming into effect, new research shows that over half of Brits (52%) admit they are caught off guard when winter arrives.

While 61% spend weeks getting “summer ready,” the colder months are often left until the last minute, with a third (32%) waiting until winter is already here to check household winter essentials like radiators, boilers, or draught proofing, which often leads to costly repairs averaging almost £400 for boilers and over £300 for radiators, according to research from Smart Energy GB.

To help households get ahead, Smart Energy GB alongside professional organiser Dilly Carter has created a new Winter Prep Checklist as we approach the start of winter.
