Dr James Greenwood on working animals

The UK public has limited awareness of the role animals still play in working life, with almost half of Brits believing that animals working with humans is largely a thing of the past.

New research of 2,000 Brits found that 41% of adults admit they don’t often – or ever – think about animals working.

The research, commissioned by animal welfare charity, Working Animals International (previously named SPANA) also found that nearly six in 10 (59%) say animals working alongside humans is something society has largely chosen not to think about.
