Ingredients for the prefect breakup song revealed

Almost half (45 per cent) of Brits believe they have enough material from past relationships to pen their own breakup song, according to a new study out today.

Two-fifths (39 per cent) even reckon they’ve been through a split so bad it could have filled an entire album.

The research from viagogo, inspired by the global reaction to Lily Allen’s unfiltered take on heartbreak in her ‘West End Girl’ album, also uncovered the ingredients fans think creates the perfect break-up song.

With Brits having so much yet untapped breakup material, PATCH, the producer behind Simon Cowell’s hit boyband, December 10, will be giving music fans the chance to turn their tears, torment and turmoil into a professionally produced track as part of viagogo’s Heartbreak Sessions.
