New holiday planning tool launched to help summer holidaygoers

With the summer holiday season fast approaching, British travellers are facing an unprecedented volume of warnings and uncertainty as conflict in the Middle East, airline schedule reductions and familiar seasonal disruptions combine to create an increasingly complex travel landscape.

In recent weeks, several airlines have announced flight cancellations, route suspensions and reduced summer schedules amid ongoing geopolitical tensions and wider operational pressures, adding to concerns among holidaymakers ahead of the peak getaway season.

To help travellers cut through the noise, Holiday Extras has launched Know Before You Go – a new interactive planning tool designed to help holidaymakers better understand destination-specific risks before booking or travelling abroad.

The tool combines live Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) advice with broader seasonal risk patterns to provide a clearer picture of the factors that may impact travel plans throughout the year.

Aston spoke to Seamus McCauley, travel expert & head of policy at Holiday Extras.
