Are drivers speeding to save on fuel ahead of the half term break?
New research released today reveals the growing stress and distraction facing British families as millions prepare for half term road trips, with many drivers now turning to smart in-car technology to help make journeys safer and calmer.
The study by car tech experts OOONO found that half (50%) of UK motorists expect to drive more during the school holiday break, including 23% planning longer journeys and 27% making more short trips. Meanwhile, 45% are either planning or considering a family road trip this half term.
But behind the nostalgia of the traditional family getaway lies a far more chaotic reality.
Ros spoke to automotive journalist & motoring expert Steve Fowler.
