National Lottery undergoing it’s biggest change in 30 years
For more than three decades, The National Lottery has been woven into the fabric of British life. Since the first draw in November 1994, it has become one of the UK’s most enduring institutions, creating millionaires in every corner of the country, generating more than £50 billion for National Lottery-funded projects, and helping support everything from grassroots sports clubs and local charities to Olympic success and landmark cultural institutions.
Generations of Britons have grown up with Lotto nights becoming part of the national routine. Millions have dreamed of becoming the next jackpot winner, while every ticket purchased has helped fund thousands of community projects that have shaped modern Britain.
Now, in what represents the most significant evolution of The National Lottery since its launch more than 30 years ago, operator Allwyn is introducing two transformational new games designed to create hundreds more millionaires and deliver the world’s biggest jackpots to UK players.
Ros spoke to Kathy Garrett, senior winners advisor for the National Lottery.
