BOSP is awarded ‘Exceptional’ by Ofsted in every category!

BOSP is delighted to share the outcome of our recent Ofsted inspection which was exceptional across the board – Children’s Welfare and Well-Being /Behaviour, Attitudes and Establishing routines / Inclusion / Leadership and Governance.

This result is highly unprecedented under the new framework for any setting – but even more so for an organisation like BOSP due to the bespoke nature of what we offer.

We always knew that our services went above and beyond in terms of our level of care, advocacy, inclusion, attention to detail, and safeguarding – but to have it formalised in this way is a huge achievement.

Their trustee Karen (and nominated Ofsted individual) summed it up when she said,

“Exceptional across every single area is no small thing, and the report really captures something very special. You can feel throughout it that this is a place where the culture is genuinely lived, not just talked about—and where the impact for children and families is truly life changing. From my SEND perspective, it’s particularly powerful to see such strong recognition of the personalised, bespoke approach and the consistency of what’s happening day to day for learners.”

BOSP’s CEO Jodie Connelly said of the result,

“We are incredibly proud of this outcome. It truly reflects the dedication, compassion and professionalism of our whole team. This level of recognition is especially significant as it demonstrates what is possible when children and young people are genuinely placed at the heart of everything. Something I’m very proud to say BOSP does and will continue to do.”

Ofsted said:

“With the expert support and encouragement of the highly trained, highly motivated staff, children achieve beyond expectations.

“The opportunities they receive across the setting are life changing”

The full report will be available on BOSP’s website and the GOV website in due course.
