Anna Williamson on how cooking is a modern day dating trend

Move over six packs, luxury holidays and flashy date nights because it turns out the way to Britain’s heart is paved with pasta.

New research of 2,000 UK adults has revealed that cooking is officially one of the nation’s biggest attraction traits, with 64% saying cooking is a great way to woo a date and 56% admitting they are more attracted to someone who is a good cook.

The findings suggest modern romance is becoming less about champagne and grand gestures and more about penne and personality.

The study was commissioned by Heinz to mark growing interest in “Marry Me” style pasta dishes that have exploded across social media in recent years.
