Are you struggling with weight loss?

New UK research has revealed the significant emotional impact that stalled weight loss can have on people living with overweight or obesity, with more than four in five (82%) saying these periods trigger negative emotions.

The findings, from a survey of 2,015 UK adults living with overweight or obesity, highlight the challenges many people face when their weight-loss progress slows or stops, despite continuing to make positive changes to their health and wellbeing.

However, the research commissioned by Novo Nordisk also highlights that progress is not always reflected by the number on the scale. Two-thirds (67%) of those surveyed said they noticed improvements in other aspects of their lives during periods when their weight remained unchanged, including increased energy levels, improved mood, better fitness and greater confidence.

Aston spoke to David Ørsted, vice president, Global Medical Affairs Obesity & MASH/Sebnem Tuna Avsar General Manager UK.
