Listen: how soaring indoor temperatures are disrupting much more than just our sleep

Britain’s increasingly hot summers are affecting far more than comfort levels, with new research from DREO revealing that excessive indoor heat is quietly reshaping everyday life at home. The research found that 85% of Brits agree that increasingly hot summers are now simply “the new normal” for the UK, yet most households remain ill-equipped to deal with it.

The research found that 2 in 5 (40%) of UK adults say excessive indoor heat has stopped them from fully enjoying time at home during summer, while 7 in 10 Brits (71%) agree that overheating significantly disrupts their normal daily life.

According to the research, sleeping (68%), relaxing (52%), cooking (49%) and working from home (21%) are among the activities most commonly affected by excessive indoor temperatures.
