Our daily lives can be pretty hectic, especially when juggling busy work schedules and looking after our family and home. When you’re looking after parents, children and other family members too, it can be quite time consuming to keep on top of things, especially remembering to order everyone’s medication.

A quarter (26%) of Britons are struggling to collect their family prescriptions as they don’t have the time or capacity to go to their GP or pharmacy during opening hours – according to the latest research by Boots. Moreover, a similar number (27%) say illness prevents them from collecting their repeat prescription.

The research also shows the average longest time people in the UK have left repeat prescriptions uncollected for is over a week, with this figure rising to almost 10 days by those in the ‘sandwich generation’.
