Forget winning the lottery, walking down the aisle or having your first child, it’s the little things in life that make us feel good every day and get us up in the morning. It’s sleep, sunshine and taking a walk which top the list of things that give us a sense of joy … along with some unexpected ones like no queue at the supermarket or a free coffee.
Perhaps surprisingly, ‘receiving a social media like or comment’ ranked down at number 49 on the feel-good list, indicating we still prefer the real things in life. But it appears nothing can beat a sound slumber, with a good night’s sleep topping the poll overall, which was commissioned by BP to launch its BPme Rewards loyalty programme.
