Parents think young children should see graphic road accident images

Nearly half of British adults think young drivers should be shown graphic images of accidents to shock young drivers into less risky behavior as they learn, with 32 per cent agreeing that these should be shown to primary school children, according to new research out today. Conversely, 14 per cent of parents disagree, saying they shouldn’t be shown at school at all.

The numbers change when thinking about your own children – with 61 per cent of parents saying they would want their young driver children to be shown these images to help protect them on the roads. The research comes from road safety campaigners, Brake and the Co-op who are trialing road safety seminars at Academies.
