I am sure that at some point over the last ten years I must have written a blog for Gateway one summer moaning about how hot it was – well here I go again !! As soon as the temperature goes above 20 degress the danger signs start to appear and once we hit 25 the panic button starts to flash, so when we touched on 30 last Thursday it was ‘game over’ for me and any thoughts of doing anyhting remotely productive went went right out of the window … and promptly melted !
The difference this summer of course is that in the current dreadful situation, I don’t actually have much to do that requires any productivity, so I could simply open the windows, switch on the big fan, take off as many clothes as was decent (bearing in mind my front window is pretty close to the street !) and just lie down on the sofa, waiting for it all to go away … and that is pretty much what I did, with the odd visit to the kitchen & bathroom along the way of course !!
So today is Saturday and thankfully we’ve had a drop of rain this morning, the widows are still wide open and now a lovely calming breeze is drifting through the “Old Giys Office” and I have re-found my mojo enough to let you know about this evening’s repeat play which airs at 5pm.
