Kurt’s daytrip to the new and improved Laindon Community Centre

So, Kurt found himself out of the studio again today, as he attended the ribbon cutting ceremony of the recently revamped Laindon Community Centre. Now, Kurt being Kurt, managed to persuade the Mayor of Basildon amongst others to have a chat on the airwaves:

A tribute to Gateway’s very own Yvonne Williams

The Laindon Community Centre is special to us at Gateway for other reasons. One of our founding directors, Yvonne Williams, frequented the centre as a Tai Chi Instructor – and we used to hold our AGMs there, too. Sadly Yvonne passed away a few years back now – but, The Laindon Community Centre installed this very fitting tribute:
