Are family dinners returning?

92% of Brits say eating together as a household and sharing meals matters, according to new research.

Six in 10 (59%) believe it helps promote quality time together, and half (49%) say it helps people bond.

The research by Tilda with Jamaican chef duo Original Flava, also found shared eating helps create better relationships (43%), improve mental health (36%) and encourage healthier eating habits (24%).

Meanwhile, Gen Z adults (those born between 1997 and 2012) in particular, feel they actually missed out on time around the dinner table, with 81% admitting they wish they had spent more time cooking or eating with their parents as children.

Aston spoke to chefs Craig & Shaun McAnuff from Original Flava.
