Are young people leading the way in saving money?
Avocado toast, the daily coffee-shop coffee, and hundreds on concert tickets – there are many things we ridicule young people for spending (or wasting) their money on.
But new research has revealed they are much more money-minded than we think and are saving aggressively for an ambitious retirement.
That’s according to new research from Royal London, which has revealed the young are contributing an average £274.50 to their pension each month – almost 10% of their salary, and almost twice as much as older workers.
Aston spoke to pensions expert Clare Moffat.
