Autism show – August 2025

On Daytime, Aston was joined by his regular contributor Anna Kennedy OBE from autism charity Annakennedyonline. They spoke about the upcoming Autism Got Talent shows and also the return of Strictly Come Dancing. They also spoke to a couple of guests as well.

The first of Aston and Anna’s guests today was life coach and vlogger Daniel Morgan Jones a.k.a Aspie World.

The second of Aston and Anna’s guests was artist and photographer Anne Marie Bickerton.

Aston and Anna reviewed the recent show.

Anna had this to say after the show:

“Aston and I chatted to 2 great guests talking ‘All things Autism ‘ for the month of August.

Our first guest this month was the talented and creative blogger, author, content creator  Daniel Jones from ‘Aspie World’ Daniel was also one of our past AnnaKennedyonline Charity Autism Hero Award Winners’.

Our second guest was the talented photographer and artist Anne Marie Bickerton. Anne Marie supported our first ‘Autism and Art Show ‘ at the Firepit Gallery. Anne Marie’s son Sam created some wonderful oragami that was displayed at the gallery.

We were sorry to hear about the passing of Dame Stephanie ‘Steve’ Shirley a real autism pioneer.

I had met Steve Shirley quite a few times throughout the years and she was always interested to hear how my sons Patrick and Angelo were progressing.

I was one of the speakers alongside Steve in 2013 at The Autism Show in central London.

She kindly sent me a copy of her book with a lovely message of encouragement and admiration.

She asked me to speak at the first charity she had set up The Kingswood Trust at their AGM in 2015.

She truly was a remarkable person, campaigner and businesswoman, Entrepeneur and has certainly left her mark in this world which will be remembered by many.

It was a great show this month and Aston and I were excited to speak about BBC Strictly and the announcement of the first celebrities. I was happy to hear actress Alex Kingston one of the celebrities named to dance on the show.

I met Alex 2 years ago at my friends Julie’s Wallmans film launch. We chatted for a while and she spoke to me about her friends son.

I hope she has an amazing experience on the show.

I will be back on Gateway Radio with Aston in September talking ‘All things Autism “and letting you all know about how Autisms got Talent the Roadshow in Whitley Bay progressed. I am sure it will be amazing!

Take care everyone.”

All Things Autism in Essex will return soon.
