Autism show – January 2025

On Daytime, it marked the first All Things Autism in Essex show for 2025 as Aston was joined by regular contributor Anna Kennedy OBE from autism charity Annakennedyonline. The previewed the Autism Hero Awards that will be taking place on 15th March in London. They also spoke about autism within the community.

The first of Aston and Anna’s guest was physiotherapist Rachel Malthouse.

The second of Aston and Anna’s guest was Autism’s Got Talent performer Eve Devenney.

The third of Aston and Anna’s guest was author & writer Samantha Lee Howe.

Anna had this to say after the show:

“I hope you all had a great Christmas and New Year celebration.

Aston and I started 2025 talking ‘All things Autism’ with three amazing guests.

Our guests for January were Rachael Malthouse. She is a physiotherapist and current PHD student at the University of Plymouth exploring how people who live in supported housing using technology in their everyday lives. Rachael’s experience as a parent to her autistic son motivated her to create an app to help her son and other families to better manage daily tasks like getting dressed and brushing their teeth.

Our second guest was the talented Eve Devenney one of our past Autism’s got Talent performers. She is an introvert that is very family orientated. Eve likes to speak about and bring further awareness about chronic illnesses and disability. Eve loves to write music, poetry and loves musical theatre. Eve will be performing at our 6th Year Charity Autism Hero Awards on March 15th. This will take place at The Holiday Inn, Regents Park. Please see www.annakennedyonline.com for more information and to purchase tickets.

Our final guest a good friend to Gateway and to our charity Annakennedyonline the lovely Samantha Lee Howe. Samantha began her professional writing career in 2007 and has been working as a freelance writer for small, medium and large publishers. She is a multi-award winning screenwriter and a USA best selling author. Samantha is once again one of our Charity Autism Hero Award judges. She will be attending the awards to meet the finalists.

I am looking forward to being in the Gateway Studio next month talking ‘All things Autism in Essex’ again with Aston. We are grateful to Gateway for helping Aston and spread autism awareness and acceptance.

Sending lots of love and sending positive vibes to you all.

Anna x”
