Autism show – June

Wednesday 12th June marked the start of a new feature on Gateway 97.8 “Autism Show”. Each month daytime presenter Aston Avery will be joined by Anna Kennedy OBE from autism charity Anna Kennedy Online and there’ll also be guests from around the Basildon & East Thurrock area, which could range from parents, carers, organisations or teachers that are involved in the autism environment, either raising funds for Anna Kennedy Online or even working or living with someone on the autistic spectrum.

Daytime presenter Aston Avery who is autistic had this say after the show.

“What can I say…what an amazing show, lots of questions emailed in and I really think we got some valued information out there. Essex is becoming a very autism aware county and I am really proud to have joined forces with Anna Kennedy to spread awareness and give information of opportunities for people living with or connected to autism.  Essex is becoming #autisticandproud. I for one am proud of us”

Anna Kennedy OBE spoke also had this to say afterwards as well.

The first guest for the new feature was Christopher Cooper from United For Charity, who since 2016 organized a charity football match raising funds for charity and this year’s event is raising funds for Anna Kennedy Online and Homeless Help in Basildon.
