Bowel Cancer: Step up for 30

16th April 2019

Every 30 minutes someone in the UK dies from bowel cancer. Bowel Cancer UK is launching ‘Step up for 30’, challenging the UK to get active and take part in physical activity exercise for 30 minutes every day, significantly reducing the risk of diagnosis.

Throughout April, Bowel Cancer Awareness Month continues to emphasise the 41,800 new cases of bowel cancer diagnosed every year, making it the 4th most common cancer in the UK. With that in mind, the charity is encouraging people to get ready for ‘Step up for 30’, the initiative which will run through the month of June.

Aston spoke to Luke Squires director of Bowel Cancer UK about the “Step Up to 30” challenge and also about Bowel Cancer.
