Brits opt for peace at home this new year

New research reveals almost half of Brits (44%) say their home feels empty after taking down their Christmas decorations.

Those who celebrate the festive season found while 27% of Brits were excited about the Christmas period, a fifth (21%) say they felt stressed by all of the festivities.

The survey, conducted by DFS found that over a quarter (27%) say the New Year makes them want to change the layout or décor of their home in an attempt to create a more relaxing atmosphere.
