Bumper year predicted for caravan and motorhome holidays

It may only be February but despite the continuing cost of living crisis, caravan and motorhome owners say they’re intending to make the most of their holidays and spend locally in 2023. Apparently, it’s the freedom of the great outdoors and saving money that’s the big draw for life on the road.

In fact, glamping or caravanning, motorhoming or campervanning, it’s already shaping up to be a bumper year for The Caravan and Motorhome club too. The Club is predicting their members will be ploughing more than £420 million pounds into the local economy this year.

And, according to a recent Centre of Economics and Business Research report (Cebr)*, owners of leisure vehicles feel more in control of the cost of their holiday and whilst they are saving on accommodation, they are likely to spend money on shopping, eating out, visitor attractions, etc.
