Campaign to support tens of thousands of critically ill children

Children’s charity Make-A-Wish UK launches ambitious new campaign Light up the Darkness – a rallying cry to grant wishes for the tens of thousands of children who are living with critical illness across the UK.

The Covid-19 pandemic, has had a catastrophic impact on the charity’s ability to grant wishes, resulting in a 40% reduction in income across 2020/21, and restrictions leaving thousands of children waiting for their wishes to be granted.

More than 60,000 children in the UK have been diagnosed with a critical condition changing their lives and the lives of their families forever.
