Celebrating National Smile Month in lockdown

2nd June 2020

Since lockdown began on March 23rd, almost two thirds of us have been using video calling technology more often, new survey for Oral-B has found. A fantastic way to catch up with loved ones, collaborate with colleagues and improve pub quiz knowledge, we’ve been sharing stories and laughs with friends, colleagues and strangers alike – and this technology is certainly helping us through.

As this year, we celebrate National Smile Month in lockdown, a huge 84% of us agree that a smile from another person is now more important than ever before, whilst almost two thirds (60%) say the thing they love most about these video calls are simply seeing a familiar face and watching their friends and family smile.

To support during this period, Oral-B are offering free virtual hygienist appointments and run a live Q&A every other Thursday to ensure people can still receive advice from oral health professionals whilst they are unable to visit the dentist.

Aston spoke to Dr Angela Ly, cosmetic dentist at Your Smile Clinic, Manchester to discuss the importance of a smile and give tips on how to #BrushBetter
