Combating over-tourism and looking for adventure away from the crowd

With today marking the first official day of summer, Brits will now be turning their attention to getting away and thinking about having that much-needed holiday break.

However, despite our love for sun, sea and sand, new research released today reveals that Brits are now more inclined to search for an adventure on their travels and really get off the beaten track.

Research released by sustainable travel specialists’ Intrepid shows that almost half of us (45%) are looking to avoid destinations that are overcrowded with tourists.
