Comedian George Lewis on summer holiday chaos

By the end of this week almost half of all parents (45%) will have run out of ideas of things to do with their kids and will be waving the white flag of surrender already – with many (two thirds) admitting to hiding from their kids for just a few moments peace and quiet, with the average parent managing almost 19 minutes alone in a quiet dark space.

And according to the research be EE a quarter (26%) of parents admit they have resorted to getting their kids to help de-weed the garden and another 25% have tried entertaining them by taking them to a car wash, with 1 in 10 (10%) using a trip to the dump as a means of keeping their kids busy.

The fresh data is released by EE ahead of EE Home Presents: The Circus, a spectacular live action, immersive theatre performance designed to help consumers navigate the chaotic nature of the summer holidays and bringing to life the challenge of keeping kids entertained throughout the break.
