Cost of living savings by savvy motorists

Motorists in the UK saved £99 million in just one year by switching to used parts and accessories to repair and service their vehicles instead of brand-new replacements, according to a new report from eBay.

The online marketplace says motorists are increasingly switching from using new parts to recycled because of the rising price of new parts, supply chain shortages and a desire to reduce the impact on the environment.

The new eBay research, released to mark the relaunch of its Certified Recycled programme, which sells millions of recycled vehicle parts from 81 certified sellers across its platform.

Aston spoke to Laura Richards, category lead for vehicle parts & accessories at eBay.
