Debunking food myths on National Apple Day
When it comes to eating up all our fruit and vegetables, many of us have been brought up on theories that an apple a day will keep the doctor away or that carrots make you see better in the dark.
In fact, often our parents may have stretched the truth a little to encourage us to eat all that is on our plates. Who hasn’t been told to eat up all their crusts or their hair won’t go curly or that eating spinach makes you strong?
On National Apple Day (21st October) leading dietician and nutritionist Helen Bond is helping you separate fact from fiction and make the right choices when it comes to our food and the best way to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
