Young readers looking for a modern fairytale with a ‘Dahl-ish’ twist, look no further… The debut children’s fantasy novel from author Ian Mark, ‘Monster Hunting for Beginners’, hits bookshelves on 2nd September.

Young hero Jack’s world turns upside down when an ogre appears in his garden and tries to EAT HIS AUNT. (She was the winner of the World’s Worst Aunt competition, but that’s not the point).

Written by new author Ian Mark and beautifully illustrated by Louis Ghibault, ‘Monster Hunting for Beginners’ is a monstrously funny adventure story for readers aged 8+.

Its funny, accessible and familiar fairytale style is guaranteed to be gobbled up by young readers as it transports them to a fantasy land and speaks directly to them.
