Dr James Greenwood on dog behaviour issues

For many, the dream of owning a dog probably conjures up images of relaxing walks, an afternoon spent at the pub and enjoying time in the great outdoors. But for some, a peaceful day out can be rudely disrupted by our faithful companions displaying aggressive behaviour or getting frisky with another pooch who happens to cross their path.

New research from Opinium reveals that 36% of dog owners believe castration is a responsible part of dog ownership, with the majority unaware that a medical alternative even exists.

The research – conducted with 655 dog owners – highlights a growing concern towards surgical castration yet a significant percentage (55%) of dog owners were unaware of the alternative option, medical castration, prompting a crucial dialogue on the subject.
