Emmerdale’s Lisa Riley on the Pink Ribbon Walk
Whether it’s a gentle stroll through the countryside or a longer challenge with friends, walking has long been one of the simplest ways to boost our physical and mental wellbeing. And for many people across the UK, putting their best foot forward can also mean supporting a cause that touches so many lives.
Breast Cancer Now’s iconic Pink Ribbon Walks are returning to beauty hotspots and historic cityscapes in the UK for their 21st year and are calling outdoor lovers to step up now for a 10 or 20 mile walk to help change the future of breast cancer.
The Pink Ribbon Walks take place at Hampton Court Palace on Saturday 18 April, Blenheim Palace on Saturday 9 May, the historic Chatsworth House on Saturday 17 May, and Holyrood in Edinburgh on Saturday 20 June, passing landmarks including Arthur’s Seat and Edinburgh Castle. It’s a challenge suited to both first-time walkers and seasoned hikers alike, with the option to take part solo or with friends over 10 or 20 miles.
Aston spoke to Emmerdale actress Lisa Riley and Claire Pulford, assoiciate director of relationship fundraising and events at Breast Cancer Now.
