English Tourism Week 2022

Tourism is one of England’s largest and most valuable industries, supporting hundreds of thousands of businesses, and employing about 2.6 million people, and in 2019, generating £76 billion in domestic visitor spending. English Tourism Week (18th – 27th March) aims to celebrate our diverse, exciting, and vibrant tourism sector, showcasing the quality, range, and value of English hospitality.

2022 also marks the 10th year of VisitEngland’s Tourism Superstar competition, with voting running from 14th February to 22nd March, and the winner announced during English Tourism Week on 26th March.

This year’s theme is “You’re Welcome”, to send the message that everyone working in tourism is ready and willing to welcome visitors back and are working hard to do so. The competition recognises and celebrates those in the industry who go the extra mile to ensure tourists in England have an amazing and unforgettable visitor experience.
