Fresh calls for road safety

Nearly a third (31%) of young drivers admit to taking pictures or video footage at the wheel, with more than half of those (57%) admitting to subsequently uploading the content to social media.

Driving while tired, sending a text message and racing their pals are other unsafe practices young drivers say they’re guilty of.

The data is part of research by road safety charity IAM RoadSmart and reveals some of the riskiest things Gen Z (18 to 26-year-olds) have done behind the wheel.
