Gearing up for the Strictly Come Dancing quarter finals and musicals week

Following the elimination of Angela Rippon the remaining 6 couples took to the dance floor to impress the judges and public.

Topping the judges leaderboard with a score of 38/40 for their Argentine tango was former Coronation Street actress Ellie Leach and her dance partner Vito Coppola.

The dance off this time round featured West End performer and Bad Education actor Layton Williams and his dance parter Nikita Kuzmin and TV presenter Angela Scanlon and her dance partner Carlos Gu. The judges voted to keep Layton meaning Angela’s time on Strictly Come Dancing is over.

The remaining 5 couples will take to the floor this weekend for musicals week (quarter final stage) and for a place in the semi-finals.
