She’s a high-flying businesswoman who won the Apprentice and knows all about managing her calendar to get things done. But when it comes to Christmas even Harpreet Kaur Thakar struggles as much as the rest of us with juggling a hectic work-life balance with preparing for the festive season.

It comes as new research from Microsoft reveals many of us feel overwhelmed and lack inspiration (53%) during the festive season with many of us skipping and simplifying our holiday traditions due to time constrictions.

It’s led to people cutting back on decorating the home (69%), shopping for thoughtful gifts (65%) and prepping the food in advance (58%) whilst some do without personalising gifts and cards (29%), finding new recipes to enjoy (29%) and looking for activities such as festive markets (29%) according to the findings from Microsoft.
