Have we lost the will to get jabbed?
Brits are being urged to book their winter flu jabs as soon as possible as a new study shows a real sense of ‘vaccine fatigue’ has set in across the UK.
With a winter flu season expected to be worse than usual, the study suggests 25% of Brits believe the effect of having multiple vaccinations since the start of the pandemic means people are now losing the will to get themselves jabbed again.
1 in 7(14%) openly admit to suffering from vaccine fatigue and say they are sick of hearing about jabs, while figures from NHS England show that only just over half of those who are entitled to a Covid booster jab this autumn have had one so far.
The research was commissioned by Britain’s leading independent pharmacy chain Well Pharmacy who say the findings are concerning because keeping up to date with vaccinations is most important thing we can do to protect ourselves and our loved ones this winter.
Aston spoke to Katie Pickles, pharmacist from Well Pharmacy.
