Hornby: A Model World

What do Rod Stewart, Elton John, Phil Collins, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Hanks and Frank Sinatra all have in common? They are all fans of railway modelling.

And around the country there are dedicated enthusiasts that spend hundreds of hours building perfect replicas of towns, villages and landscapes for their locos to travel through and nothing but perfect authenticity will do in their model world.

Now, a new series on Yesterday channel, Hornby: A Model World, goes behind the scenes at Hornby to reveal how their dedicated team of designers strive to shrink a new generation of mighty machines.

Aston spoke to Simon Kohler, development director and collector and Montana Hoeren, head of brand both at Hornby.
