We are all being encouraged to be more eco-friendly and recycle as much as we can on a daily basis.

But, while recycling unwanted plastic, cardboard and food waste is now part of our routine, it seems that we are more reluctant when it comes to disposing of our old electricals.

Indeed, the majority (57%) of workers say they would not recycle electrical and electronic equipment which is a concern as our working ways evolve.

Sales of desktops in 2020 are down 50%, according to data from Stone Group and if businesses and public sector organisations are replacing them for mobile devices such as laptops it suggests that as many as 50% of desktop computers could be redundant in the UK.

Aston spoke to Tim Westbrook, head of sustainability at Stone Group to discuss the app and how crucial it is that the IT industry does more to minimise its negative impact on the environment.
