Jo Hemmings on modern attitudes

The modern world has left nearly half of Brits impatient and with a ‘want it now’ attitude.

Research by HSBC found that almost two in five (38 per cent) are ‘impatient’ in life, with things that drive us mad including slow walkers, public transport delays and having to wait for the internet to load.

Brits blame their lack of patience (57%) on the rise of technologies like smartphones. It also emerged the average adult is willing to wait a maximum of 15 minutes on hold on the phone before hanging up.

Aston spoke to behavioural psychologist Jo Hemmings.
