Cleaning the toilet (36%), adverts in the middle of a film (31%) and waiting for public transport (26%) are among the top dull things we do every day.

Clearing your email junk folder (24%), taking the bins out (24%) and defrosting the freezer (20%) also make the list.

The research by Tombola also found that a staggering 88% of us admit day-to-day life can be a bit dull.
