Julia Bradbury on how camping relieves anxiety

With the camping season now underway, a new report has revealed that campers are 23% less anxious than non-campers.

In fact, 44% say they are positively ‘flourishing’ compared to their non-camping peers (31%).

The Outjoyment Report is a comprehensive study into well-being and the mental health benefits of camping in the outdoors, carried out by academic experts at Liverpool John Moores University and Sheffield Hallam University and commissioned by The Camping and Caravanning Club.

Aston spoke to TV presenter Julia Bradbury and Dr Adele Doran, principal lecturer in tourism management at Sheffield Hallam who is one of the authors of The Outjoyment Report.
