It is safe to say that our four-legged friends are part of the family and should be treated as such, including when it comes to understanding the effects of the last year.

For dog owners, being a pet parent during lockdown was rewarding for more than half (53%), but 21% found it challenging and 14% stressful, according to research by Purina Petcare.

In fact, nearly half of dog owners (49%) believe the last year has had an impact on their pets, with more than a quarter (28%) reporting their dogs have become more anxious during this time.
