Listen: businesses have just 10 minutes to build trust with customers online
From the moment a consumer logs onto a website or downloads an app, the stopwatch has started, and it seems we’re an impatient lot.
Research out today says businesses have just minutes to win or lose consumer trust online.
The research by identity verification giants Onfido and Okta found we want to speed even once we’ve signed up and ‘onboarded’.
Consumers feel that brands should know and trust them, so expect a much quicker authentication process during the customer journey – even for transactions that present a higher risk of fraud to themselves and the company. For instance, half of the consumers expect that it should take less than three minutes to approve a banking transaction (49%), place a bet (48%) or fill a prescription (35%).
